It is a very common inflammation that is mostly harmless. However, the onset of periodontal disease can also hide behind a seemingly harmless gum problem. Therefore, you should consult the dentist if a gum inflammation does not heal within a few days.<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-77b0547 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"77b0547\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Our oral cavity is normally populated by around 500 different bacterial strains, which our immune system can easily keep in check in small concentrations. If oral hygiene is neglected, sticky plaques form in which the bacteria can multiply in large numbers.
