Workplace hygiene
From 1 January 2024, we will also apply tariff item 4.0300 (basic rate for workplace disinfection) to dental hygiene, all dental examinations and treatments. This was introduced by the SSO in 2018. The reason for this is the increased requirements for hygiene and documentation in everyday practice, which are required by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), among others. We have tried not to charge this fee, but costs have risen disproportionately, so we have been charging this basic fee since the beginning of 2024. This amounts to CHF 17.40. For you, this means, among other things, complete, digital documentation of the hygiene process for every single instrument and material we use.
