Why digital smile design
There are now some methods to make a tooth change digitally visible. Up to now, however, the preview was mostly limited to the patient's teeth and the face of the patient was not shown.
The revolutionary Digital Smile Design concept now allows us to show every dental correction directly on the patient's face in advance. So you can use the Effect of your new teeth on your entire face and really judge your charisma.
In the case of major treatments of many teeth, such as a smile makeover, the result is visible to the patient before the start of the treatment and can be tried out before real treatment costs are incurred.
How does digital smile design work?
Step 1: We scan
First, digital photos of your face and a digital laser scan of your teeth are taken.
Step 2: We digitize
In the next step, your digitized facial masses are linked together for treatment planning.
Step 3: We plan
We plan your ideal smile based on the data and facial proportions obtained.
Step 4: You test
You can try out your new smile makeover and see the effect of your new smile live on the screen.
Step 5: We design
Based on the smile design you have approved, we now plan your new teeth and implement the ideal design exactly as you wish.

1. We listen
We want to get to know the real you first. That is why we take the time to listen to you to find out what the real core of your personality is and what impression you would like to make on others.
To do this, we work closely with you to ensure that the smile that we create together with you completely corresponds to your nature.
2. We plan
Using the latest digital equipment and technology, we can present your new smile to you. This is even possible without prior treatment - all we need from you are five photos, a video recording and an intraoral scan (digital impression of your jaw). These are recorded in our practice.
The images and recordings enable us to create an individual 2D or 3D simulation of your new smile for you. We will make so many adjustments and changes with you until we find the smile that completely satisfies you.
3. You test
Next, you will test your future smile. This is done with individually made plastic trays, which are temporarily glued to your untreated teeth. This unique step enables you to take a holistic view of the proportions and harmony of teeth and face.
Patients describe this moment as the moment that changed their life: They started laughing from the bottom of their hearts for the first time in a long time!
4. We treat
We won't start the actual treatment until you are completely satisfied with your new smile.
Only now do our experienced dental technicians begin to manufacture the veneers, crowns or bridges discussed. Some patients need implants or orthodontic treatment to get the desired result.

Studies on the effect of teeth
In fact, there are now a number of studies examining the effects of a symmetrical smile and straight teeth. The researchers repeatedly come to some very astonishing results as they can see on our graphics.
Of course, we're not saying that everyone needs to have perfect teeth. We also really appreciate the wonderful peculiarities of each person.
However, with the digital planning techniques and new materials available today, we are able to achieve an unprecedented level of precision in creating the perfect smile.
Straight teeth and personality:
How
With the help of a so-called mock-up - a tooth-colored, extremely thin simulation shell planned on the computer and generated in a 3D printer, also called a "mask for the teeth", which is placed on the existing teeth - we can realistically adjust the new tooth position after correction simulate.
With this "mask" in place, we create a high-quality HD video of you in our clinics and watch it together. So that we can show the patient photo-realistically in the same session how he will look and work after a correction of his teeth.
We plan this new smile on the basis of aesthetic baselines, the patient's personal characteristics, such as facial symmetry and lip line, and of course the patient's wishes.
A new smile created in this way can give the face a completely new dimension and radiance, similar to other aesthetic face corrections.
Only when you are satisfied do we start implementing the planning.
costs
A DSD planning typically consists of 2 sessions.
In the first session (approx. 30-60min) photos, a digital scan of all teeth and, if necessary, x-rays are created. After that, a digital simulation of your new smile is already possible, which you will receive as a digital photo and video series (until September 9, 2021 only CHF 99 instead of CHF 450).
An extensive planning is carried out between the first and the second session based on the diagnostic documents from the first session. Your new smile is planned here and a mock-up is then created using digital technology.
In the second session this mock-up is then placed on your own teeth and there is another series of photos and videos. You can then look at these directly afterwards and see how you really look on other people with this new smile. You will also receive a detailed list of the treatments to be carried out that would be necessary to achieve the result, including a detailed list of the costs. (Second session = individual planning costs depending on the effort, until September 2021 = 50% reduction).
