Lumineers® are custom-designed veneers that do not involve any drilling or anesthetic injections. They are adhesively bonded to the front surface of your teeth to improve, straighten and enhance their appearance to provide you with a natural smile.
When
Lumineers are very thin veneers (ceramic veneers) that are used to permanently lighten unsightly, discolored teeth or to quickly correct slight misalignments.
They are particularly suitable for patients with tooth gaps or very long thin teeth, but can be used in almost all cases with a very good aesthetic result. Compared to bleaching, in which the teeth darken again after a certain period of time, the whitening result with Lumineers is permanent.
How
Lumineers are as thin as contact lenses and are usually glued directly onto tooth surfaces or unsightly restorations. As a rule, we do not have to grind teeth here. A very precise analysis of the chewing situation and tooth substance is a prerequisite for treatment with Lumineers.
For patients who grind their teeth a lot at night, treatment with Lumineers is not recommended, as ceramic flaking can occur here.

The Lumineers are made of Cerinate - a reinforced, high-strength leucite ceramic. This allows an extremely thin layer with high breaking strength and tooth-like aesthetics.
costs
Lumineers cost per tooth approx. CHF 1400. However, due to the high quality material and the very good aesthetics, they represent a short-term, very durable and elegant way of whitening teeth and correcting their position at the same time.
