Depending on the findings, definitive treatment may be carried out during the emergency appointment in some cases. However, emergency treatment is never a substitute for a full dental examination and definitive treatment. If further treatment is required, we will discuss this with you and plan the next steps.

Dental injuries usually occur during sporting activities or car accidents. Often, a tooth is completely knocked out or struck in such a way that it is no longer stable or sitting in the correct position in the jaw. In this case, you should see your emergency dentist within half an hour of the accident, if possible. If the tooth has been completely knocked out, bring it with you, taking care not to touch the exposed root surface. To do this, place the tooth in a tooth rescue box, in milk or in water. Ideally, the dentist will be able to reinsert the tooth that has fallen out.
